A Completely Different Note (CDN) constantly pushes to expand the bounds of A Cappella music in order to bring to their audience a charged, exciting show that displays the finest singing and entertainment the University of Connecticut has to offer.
Established in 1999, CDN is the oldest all male A Cappella group at the University of Connecticut.?? Sticking to our name, we sing songs from a wide array of genres to keep everyone in our audience happy. Ranging from classical to rock, folk to pop – no type of musical stone is left unturned!
Auditions for CDN are held in the beginning of every semester. The week before auditions, UCACA (University of Connecticut A Cappella Association) holds an a cappella “rush” concert, featuring not only CDN but all of UConn’s a cappella groups, where audition information for all groups, including CDN, will first be announced. In other words, if you are interested in auditioning for us, try your best to make it to the UConn a cappella rush concert! Details for when it comes around will always be available on this website, our Facebook, and our Twitter page.
CDN also loves going off-campus, and has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the following groups:
